Parish Record Keeper was developed to support parish administration and record-keeping in the service of our common faith. All downloads include a free licence granting indefinite use of the current version. We do, however, kindly ask you to make a generous donation of your choice to Lumimba Parish in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia — the parish that created and continues to maintain this application.

Developing and maintaining software involves real costs. Lumimba Parish covers a vast and remote area stretching over 150 km along the Luangwa River, where many villages become completely cut off during the rainy season due to poor road conditions. Your donation will directly support its outreach ministry, helping it reach even the most isolated families and communities. The parish is also launching a range of educational and health initiatives, including the construction of schools and a hospital.

Workspace Access (Optional, Voluntary Contribution) Separately from the donation above, we also offer an optional Workspace service that lets several people at the same parish share one datafile through our servers, with server-based version control of the master copy and each member's copy assisting the syncing process. Workspace access is offered on the same donation basis as the rest of this page, not as a fixed fee: as a guide, a donation of $10 (150 Zambian Kwacha) per year covers the direct costs of securing and maintaining a Workspace. Giving more? Anything beyond the $10 Workspace threshold is treated the same as any other donation to Lumimba Parish — and a donation significantly above that threshold may also count toward a Donation Licence for your parish database. You don't need to send two separate payments: just send one combined amount and state how it should be split when you confirm it, as described below.

How to Donate

✉ Please confirm your donation Whichever method you use, please send a brief message — including the amount — to administrator@parishrecordkeeper.com. If your payment also covers Workspace access, just tell us how to split it (for example, "$10 for Workspace, $20 as a donation") and we will apply each part accordingly. This helps us track contributions and send you a word of thanks. If you look after more than one parish datafile registered under the same email address, let us know — with generous donations, we're happy to licence every one of them, not just the one that reached 1,000 records.
